§ 9412. Enforcement
(a) In order to carry out the duties under this chapter, the commissioner, in addition to the powers provided in 8 V.S.A. § 72, may examine the books, accounts and papers of health insurers, health care providers and health care facilities and may administer oaths and may issue subpoenas to a person to appear and testify or to produce documents or things.
(b) In addition to any other power or duty authorized by law, the commissioner of banking, insurance, securities, and health care administration shall in the case of health insurers, enforce a violation of a provision of this subchapter, or a rule adopted pursuant to a provision of this subchapter, as a violation of a requirement of Title 8 relating to health insurers.
