§ 561. Certification of election of school board members, oath, chairman, clerk
Within ten days of the date a school board member is elected, the superintendent shall notify the commissioner. School directors shall be sworn before entering upon the duties of their office. At the meeting next following the election of a school board member, the school board shall elect one of their number chairman and one other of their number clerk. The clerk may be paid upon order of the school board. He shall keep a permanent record of the proceedings of the school board. In his absence another member of the school board shall assume his duties. (Added 1969, No. 298 (Adj. Sess.), § 38.)
