§ 513. Discount

(a) At the time of voting a tax, a district may direct the collector to deduct a percent fixed by the vote from the tax of a person paying before the day fixed.

(b) The collector of a tax from which a deduction may be made as provided in subsection (a) of this section, shall appoint a day within the time limited, at a place within the district, when and where he will receive such tax, and shall post a notice thereof in three public places in the district and publish the same in a newspaper of known circulation in the district, at least ten days before the time appointed, and shall attend at the time and place appointed to receive payment of such tax.
