2005 Vermont Code - § 469. — Estate to be sold if indivisible

§ 469. Estate to be sold if indivisible

If the estate out of which the third is to be assigned cannot be divided or set out by metes and bounds, the same shall be set out to the widow as tenant in common with the other owners, or, the probate court may direct the real estate to be sold and conveyed and a third of the proceeds thereof shall be assigned to the widow. (Amended 1985, No. 144 (Adj. Sess.), § 32.)
