§ 403. Surviving spouse to receive household goods

The surviving spouse of a decedent residing with that person at the time of decease may receive out of that person's estate all household goods, furnishings, furniture and household outfit belonging in and to the decedent's immediate household when the decedent dies intestate without issue, upon the surviving spouse's motion to the court, asking for an assignment thereof. Goods and effects, so assigned, shall be in addition to the distributive share of the estate to which the surviving spouse is entitled under other provisions of law. (Amended 1985, No. 144 (Adj.
