2005 Vermont Code - § 7222. — Sentences to imprisonment, or to fine and imprisonment

§ 7222. Sentences to imprisonment, or to fine and imprisonment

When a person over sixteen years of age is convicted of an offense punishable by fine or imprisonment, or both, and is sentenced to imprisonment and also to pay a fine the court shall order that if such fine is not paid, he shall be imprisoned for as many days as the number of dollars or fractional part thereof to be paid by the sentence and such sentence shall take effect at the expiration of the term of imprisonment, and but one mittimus shall be required therefor.
