§ 5702. Jurisdiction and venue

The Vermont district court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over proceedings under this chapter, any provision of any statute, municipal charter or ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, except as provided in chapter 24 of Title 23. Venue for adjudicating offenses prosecuted by use of the uniform snowmobileoating complaint shall be in the unit of the district court having jurisdiction over the geographical area where the offense is alleged to have occurred.
