§ 4062c. Compliance with federal law
Except as otherwise provided in this title, health insurers, hospital or medical service corporations, and health maintenance organizations that issue, sell, renew or offer health insurance coverage in Vermont shall comply with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as provided in Title XXVII Part A, Subpart 3, Section 2722 of the Public Health Service Act. The commissioner shall enforce such requirements pursuant to his or her authority under this title. (Added 1997, No. 24, § 1.)
