2005 Vermont Code - § 4. — Senate vacancy
§ 4. Senate vacancy
If a vacancy occurs in the senate, the governor shall appoint some person from the district wherein the vacancy occurs to fill the unexpired term, and shall transmit to the person so appointed a certificate of his appointment, and cause a certified copy thereof to be sent to the president of the senate.
