49-21-405. Disability benefit -- Exclusions.
A monthly disability benefit is not payable for a total disability proximately caused by:
  • (1)self-inflicted injury;
  • (2)abuse or misuse of any substance, including alcohol;
  • (3)illicit drug use;
  • (4)an act of aggression committed by the eligible employee; or
  • (5)the eligible employee's commission or attempted commission of a felony or other illegal act.
