2006 Utah Code - 75-2-1112 — Physician compliance with directive.
75-2-1112. Physician compliance with directive.(1) Attending physicians and other providers of medical services have a duty to cooperate with those authorized under the circumstances set forth in this part to make written directives concerning the administering or withholding of care and treatment and shall cooperate in making good faith medical certifications as provided by this part.
(2) Attending physicians and other providers of medical services who fail to comply with this part reasonably and without undue delay, or refuse or decline to comply with directives executed under this part shall promptly effect a transfer of the declarant to another attending physician or provider of medical services.
(3) Failure of an attending physician or other provider of medical services to comply with a directive executed under this part or to effect the transfer of the declarant to another physician or provider of medical services constitutes unprofessional conduct.
