53A-25-302. Appointment and terms of council members -- Powers -- Expenses.(1) Council members shall serve four-year terms and may be appointed to serve a second consecutive term.
(2) (a) In order to provide for staggered terms, the board shall appoint at least one council member in June of each year, with the term of office to begin on July 1 of the year of appointment.
(b) Current members of the council shall continue in office until expiration of their terms and until their successors are appointed.
(c) The board may remove a council member for cause.
(3) The council shall act in behalf of the Schools for the Deaf and the Blind in performing duties, responsibilities, and functions as authorized and delegated to the council by the board.
(4) Members shall be paid for their expenses for attending council meetings as provided by the director of the Division of Finance.
