2006 Utah Code - 48-2c-306 — Service on domestic company.
48-2c-306. Service on domestic company.(1) Service of process on a domestic company may be made:
(a) by delivery to:
(i) the registered agent of the company;
(ii) a manager of the company if the company is manager-managed; or
(iii) any member of the company if the company is member-managed; or
(b) by a writing, which shall be mailed by registered or certified mail to the registered office of the company in this state or, if the company has no registered office, then to the designated office listed in the notice, annual report, or document most recently filed with the division.
(2) Service of process is perfected under Subsection (1)(b) on the earliest of:
(a) the date the company receives the process;
(b) the date shown on the return receipt, if signed on behalf of the company; or
(c) five days after mailing.
(3) This section does not limit or affect the right to serve, in any other manner permitted by law, any process, notice, or demand required or permitted by law to be served upon a company.
