2006 Utah Code - 20A-1-611 — Cost of defense of action no part of campaign expense.
20A-1-611. Cost of defense of action no part of campaign expense.(1) Nothing contained in this chapter prevents any candidate from employing counsel to represent him in any action or proceeding affecting his rights as a candidate or from paying all costs and disbursements arising from that representation.
(2) Expenses paid or incurred for that representation may not be considered part of the campaign expenses of any candidate.
