17A-2-1441. Majority authorizes issuance of bonds -- Resubmission of proposition.(1) If an election is held under Section 17A-2-1440, and if it appears from the returns of that election that a majority of the qualified electors of the district who voted on any proposition submitted at that election voted in favor of the proposition, the district is authorized to incur the indebtedness or obligations, enter into the contract or issue, and sell the bonds of the district, all for the purpose or purposes and object or objects provided for in the proposition and in the resolution in the amount provided in such resolution.
(2) Submission of the proposition of incurring that obligation or bonded or other indebtedness at an election does not prevent or prohibit submission of the same or other propositions at any subsequent election called for that purpose.
