     17A-2-1033.   Acquisition of existing public transit systems -- Rights and benefits of employees preserved.
     Whenever the district shall acquire an existing public transit system, all of the employees of such system, to the extent necessary for the operation thereof, except executive or administrative officers and employees, shall be transferred to and appointed employees of the district, and these employees shall be given sick leave, seniority, vacation and pension or retirement credits in accordance with the records of the acquired system. Members and beneficiaries of any pension or retirement plan or other program of benefits established by the acquired public transit system, shall continue to have rights, privileges, benefits, obligations and status with respect to such established plan or program. Terms, conditions and provisions of any pension or retirement plan or of any amendment or modification thereof affecting employees may be established, amended or modified by agreement with such employees or their duly authorized representatives.
