     17A-2-730.   Exclusion of lands from district.
     (1) Land may be excluded from an irrigation district as provided in this part.
     (2) An exclusion of land may not impair or affect the district organization or its rights in or to property, or any of its rights or privileges, nor may it affect, impair, or discharge any contract, obligation, lien, or charge for or upon which it was or might become liable or chargeable had the exclusion not occurred.
     (3) If a contract has been made between the district and the United States as provided in this part, no land may be excluded from the district until the United States consents in writing to the exclusion and the consent is filed with the board of trustees.
