10-3-1211. Council members -- Qualifications -- Terms of office.Council members shall be residents of the municipality from which they are elected, and, if elected from districts, of the districts from which they are elected. Council members shall have no other compensated employment with the municipality. Terms of office of the council members shall be four years each, or until a successor is qualified, except that initially, approximately one-half of the council members shall serve terms of two years each.
