2006 Utah Code - 10-3-501 — Meetings in cities of the first and second class.
10-3-501. Meetings in cities of the first and second class.In cities of the first and second class the board of commissioners shall by ordinance prescribe the time and place of holding its regular public meetings which, for cities of the first class shall be held at least three times each week, and, for cities of the second class shall be held at least twice each week. If at any time the business of the city requires a special meeting of the board of commissioners, such meeting may be ordered by a majority of the board or by the mayor or mayor pro tempore. The order must be signed by the members, mayor or mayor pro tempore calling the meeting, and must be entered in the minutes of the board. Notice of the special meeting must be served by the city recorder on each member not joining in the order, at least three hours prior to the meeting, personally or left at such member's usual place of abode. The personal appearance by a member at any specially called meeting constitutes a waiver of the notice required in this section.
