§532. Explosives Training and Research Facility |
(a) Establishment
There is established within the Bureau an Explosives Training and Research Facility at Fort AP Hill, Fredericksburg, Virginia. (b) PurposeThe facility established under subsection (a) shall be utilized to train Federal, State, and local law enforcement officers to— (1) investigate bombings and explosions; (2) properly handle, utilize, and dispose of explosive materials and devices; (3) train canines on explosive detection; and (4) conduct research on explosives. There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to establish and maintain the facility established under subsection (a). Any amounts appropriated pursuant to paragraph (1) shall remain available until expended. |
