§8669. Contracts: applicability of chapter 65 of title 41 |
Each contract for the construction, alteration, furnishing, or equipping of a naval vessel is subject to chapter 65 of title 41 unless the President determines that this requirement is not in the interest of national defense. |

AMENDMENTS
2018—Pub. L. 115–232 renumbered section 7299 of this title as this section. 2011—Pub. L. 111–350 substituted "chapter 65 of title 41" for "Walsh-Healey Act" in section catchline and for "the Walsh-Healey Act (41 U.S.C. 35 et seq.)" in text. EFFECTIVE DATE OF 2018 AMENDMENTAmendment by Pub. L. 115–232 effective Feb. 1, 2019, with provision for the coordination of amendments and special rule for certain redesignations, see section 800 of Pub. L. 115–232, set out as a note preceding section 3001 of this title. |
