36 U.S.C. § 151709 (2017)
§151709. Civil action by Attorney General for equitable relief
The Attorney General may bring a civil action in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for appropriate equitable relief if the corporation— (1) engages or threatens to engage in any act, practice, or policy that is inconsistent with the purposes in section 151702 of this title; or (2) refuses, fails, or neglects to carry out its obligations under this chapter or threatens to do so. |
||||||
(Pub. L. 105–225, Aug. 12, 1998, 112 Stat. 1407.) |
||||||
Before clause (1), the words "bring a civil action" are substituted for "file a petition" for consistency in the revised title and with other titles of the United States Code. The words "appropriate equitable relief" are substituted for "such equitable relief as may be necessary or appropriate" to eliminate unnecessary words. |
