§1305. Director and staff; experts and consultants (a) Director and staff
(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Moderator, with the approval of the Commission, may employ and set the rate of pay for a Director and such staff as the Moderator deems necessary.
(2) Rates of pay set under paragraph (1) shall be less than the rate of basic pay payable under section 5316 of title 5.
(b) Experts and consultantsThe Moderator, with the approval of the Commission, may procure temporary and intermittent services under section 3109(b) of title 5.
(c) Staff of Federal agenciesUpon request of the Commission, the head of any Federal agency is authorized to detail, on a reimbursable basis, any of the personnel of such agency to the Commission to assist the Commission in carrying out its duties under this chapter.
