§163. Care and superintendence of Capitol by Architect of Capitol
The Architect of the Capitol shall have the care and superintendence of the Capitol, including lighting. His office shall be in the Capitol Building.

CodificationSection is based on appropriation for the person in charge of heating apparatus in act Aug. 15, 1876, popularly known as the “Sundry Civil Appropriation Act”. It was repeated in the similar act Mar. 3, 1877.
Amendments1951—Act Oct. 31, 1951, struck out “, and shall submit through the Secretary of the Interior estimates thereof” at end of first sentence.
