§11908. Monitoring

The Secretary shall audit and monitor the programs funded under this subchapter to ensure that assistance provided under this subchapter is administered in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter.

Amendments

1990—Pub. L. 101–625, §581(a), amended section generally. Prior to amendment, section read as follows: “There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this subchapter ,200,000 for fiscal year 1989 and such sums as may be necessary for fiscal year 1990. From any amounts appropriated under this section in each fiscal year, 5 percent of such amounts shall be available for public housing youth sports program grants under section 11903a of this title for such fiscal year. Any amount appropriated under this section shall remain available until expended.”

Pub. L. 101–625, §520(k), inserted second sentence “From any amounts appropriated under this section in each fiscal year, 5 percent of such amounts shall be available for public housing youth sports program grants under section 11903a of this title for such fiscal year.”
