§351f. Administrative costs

A State may expend funds received under subchapters I and II of this chapter for administrative costs in connection with programs and activities carried out under subchapters I, II, and III of this chapter, but such administrative expenditures under such subchapters for any fiscal year may not exceed the greater of (1) 6 per centum of the sum of the amounts allotted to such State under such subchapters for such fiscal year, or (2) ,000.

Amendments

1984—Pub. L. 98–480 substituted provisions authorizing States to expend funds received under subchapters I and II for administrative costs in connection with programs and activities under subchapters I, II, and III, in amounts not to exceed the greater of 6 percent of the amounts allotted to such State thereunder for such fiscal year or ,000 for provisions which required States to provide matching amounts for such expenditures from non-Federal sources.

Construction of Provisions Respecting Administrative Costs

Pub. L. 99–159, title III, §303(a), Nov. 22, 1985, 99 Stat. 903, provided that: “The references in section 8 of the Act (20 U.S.C. 351f) to ‘such titles’ [‘such subchapters’] mean, and shall be construed as meaning, the immediately preceding reference to ‘titles I, II, and III’ [‘subchapters I, II, and III of this chapter’].”
