§3421. Reporting requirements
(a) Omitted.
(b) In April of each year, each Government authority that requests access to financial records of any customer from a financial institution pursuant to section 3404, 3405, 3406, 3407, 3408, 3409, or 3414 of this title shall send to the appropriate committees of Congress a report describing requests made during the preceding calendar year. Such report shall include the number of requests for records made pursuant to each section of this chapter listed in the preceding sentence and any other related information deemed relevant or useful by the Government authority.

CodificationSubsection (a) of this section, which directed, in April of each year, Director of Administrative Office of the United States Courts to send to appropriate committees of Congress a report concerning number of applications for delays of notice made pursuant to section 3409 of this title and the number of customer challenges made pursuant to section 3410 of this title during the preceding calendar year, was omitted from the Code pursuant to section 502(a) of Pub. L. 102–572, set out as a note below.
Elimination of Duplicative Reporting RequirementPub. L. 102–572, title V, §502(a), Oct. 29, 1992, 106 Stat. 4512, provided that: “After January 1, 1992, the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts is not required to send a report under section 1121(a) of Public Law 95–630 (12 U.S.C. 3421(a)).”
