§ 66-27-409. Quorums

- Unless the bylaws provide otherwise, a quorum is present throughout any meeting of the association if persons entitled to cast twenty percent (20%) of the votes that may be cast for election of the board of directors are present in person or by proxy at the beginning of the meeting.
- Unless the bylaws specify a larger percentage, a quorum is deemed present throughout any meeting of the board of directors if persons entitled to cast fifty percent (50%) of the votes on that board are present at the beginning of the meeting.
- Attendance at a meeting may be in person, by telephone, or by any other means specified in the bylaws. Attendance at a meeting of the association may also be by proxy.
