§ 5-21-106. Director — Appointment and Compensation

- The committee shall appoint the director.
- The committee may dismiss the director, subject to the approval of the county legislative body.
- The director shall for all purposes be an employee of the county.

- The director shall have a minimum of a bachelor of science degree from an accredited college or university. Such person shall have had at least eighteen (18) quarter hours or equivalent semester hours in accounting.
- The committee may select a person not having a bachelor of science degree or having a sufficient number of hours in accounting; provided, that such person has at least two (2) years of acceptable experience in a related position or an equivalent number of other related courses.
- The compensation of the director shall be established by the committee, subject to the approval of the county legislative body.
