§ 49-10-106. Adoption of Standards or Qualifications for Teachers and Other Personnel — Adoption of Evaluation Procedures and Eligibility Criteria for Children With Disabilities — Cooperation

The state board of education, in consultation with the department of education, is authorized to take necessary action in the area of special education to:
- Adopt standards or qualifications for teachers and other personnel providing instruction or other educational services to children with disabilities;
- Adopt the evaluation procedures and eligibility criteria for children with disabilities; and
- Cooperate with other state agencies, organizations, and institutions that are concerned with the health, education, and welfare of children with disabilities.
