§ 53-7-212. Cease and Desist Orders

- Whenever it is brought to the attention of the commissioner that any person operating an establishment continues to willfully operate in violation of this part and after written notice of the violations has been given, the commissioner may issue a cease and desist order against the establishment.
- The cease and desist order issued under subsection (a) shall set forth the reasons for its issuance, and shall be personally delivered to the person or the person's agents or sent by registered mail to the address of the establishment.
- If the person continues to ignore the cease and desist order, the commissioner is authorized to withdraw or deny inspection for such length of time as is necessary to effectuate compliance with this part.
- Any court review that might be desired of action taken by the commissioner shall be reviewed exclusively as provided for in § 53-7-217.
