Volume 13 Tables
Mortality Tables

  • The following mortality tables showing life expectancies are those generally in use. All these tables, except the United States Life Table, are based on the experience of insurance policy holders.
  • Table I combines the Actuaries' Combined Experience (1843), the American Experience (1860), and the Carlisle (1780).
  • Table II combines the American Men (Ultimate) (1915), the Commissioners Standard Ordinary (1941), the 1941 Standard Industrial and the National Fraternal Congress (1898).
  • Table III is the United States Life Table based on the United States Census of 1970 and is prepared by the United States Public Health Service.
  • Table IV is the 1937 Standard Annuity Mortality Table.
  • Table V is the Commissioners Standard Ordinary Mortality Table (1958).
  • Table VI is derived from the Commissioners 1980 Standard Ordinary and the 1983 Individual Annuity Table.
  • Tables X (Annuity 2000 Basic Table) and XI (2001 CSO Table (Utlimate Only)) are tables generally in use.
  • The tables included herein are those referred to in the Code. Certain tables which are referred to in the Code are multi-volume publications, however, and are not included. These are:
  • Commissioners 1958 Extended Term Insurance Table;
  • Commissioners 1961 Standard Industrial Mortality Table;
  • Commissioners 1961 Industrial Extended Term Insurance Table;
  • Commissioners 1980 Standard Ordinary Mortality Table with Ten-Year Select Mortality Factors; and
  • Commissioners 1980 Extended Term Insurance Table.
