TN Code § 49-6-2211 (2014) What's This?
Every student shall be permitted to take any textbook specifically issued to the student home for the purpose of studying the textbook. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent a school or teacher from requiring a student to return the textbook to the classroom during school hours.
