68-140-201. Legislative intent.

It is the intention and purpose of the general assembly that a statewide system of emergency medical service area telecommunications be employed to provide effective and rapid emergency medical service to the general population. To this end, all emergency medical service entities within the state are directed to provide the department of health with information the department requests for the purpose of implementing the provisions of § 68-140-203, and such entities shall comply with the resultant provisions established pursuant to this part.
