49-11-401 - Legislative intent.

49-11-401. Legislative intent.

(a)  It is declared to be the intent of the general assembly to establish a statewide system of state technology centers to meet more adequately the occupational and technical training needs of citizens and residents of this state, including employees and future employees of existing and prospective industries and businesses in this state.

(b)  The individual centers established by this part shall be known as “state technology center at”, followed by the name of the city, town or place in which or near which the center is located.
