32-32-12. Stop arm signal required. Any school bus purchased before September 1, 1992, may be equipped with a stop arm signal conforming to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 131, School Bus and Pedestrian Safety Devices, 49 CFR Part 571.131. Any new school bus purchased on or after September 1, 1992, shall be equipped with such a stop arm signal.
