3-6A-15. Discrimination prohibited--Violation as misdemeanor. The Career Service Commission, the personnel commissioner, and all employees shall comply with chapter 20-13, the South Dakota Human Relations Act.

Discrimination on the basis of political affiliation is prohibited. Discrimination on the basis of age above and including the age of forty or physical disability is prohibited except where specific age or physical requirements constitute demonstrated and bona fide occupational qualifications necessary for effective work performance. A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
