Section 31-19-24 - Title vesting in state or municipality--Right to compensation vesting in owner--Effective date.
31-19-24. Title vesting in state or municipality--Right to compensation vesting in owner--Effective date. Title to the lands in such estate or interest therein as is specified in the declaration described in § 31-19-23 shall vest in the State of South Dakota or the municipality, and the land shall be deemed to be condemned and taken for the use of the State of South Dakota or the municipality, and the right to just compensation for the same shall vest in the persons entitled thereto either on the date the decision is rendered at the hearing provided in § 31-19-10.1 or the date the hearing is waived.Source: SL 1963, ch 195, § 1; SL 1976, ch 184, § 4; SL 1990, ch 226, § 3.
