Section 31-12-40 - Accounting required of county highway superintendent--Allocation of township motor vehicle fund.
31-12-40. Accounting required of county highway superintendent--Allocation of township motor vehicle fund. It shall be the duty of the county highway superintendent of such county to make an accurate accounting of the cost of constructing, maintaining, and improving the highways of such township; and the county commissioners shall transfer from such township motor vehicle fund sixty percent of such cost to the county fund for the purchase of repairs and new equipment, and transfer from such township motor vehicle fund forty percent of such cost to the county road and bridge fund.Source: SL 1959, ch 145, § 5; SDC Supp 1960, § 28.0421.
