2006 South Dakota Code - 62-8-40.1 — Medical panel abolished--Performance of functions--Contracts for medical reports.

     62-8-40.1.   Medical panel abolished--Performance of functions--Contracts for medical reports. The medical panel created by § 62-8-33 is abolished, and all its functions shall be administered by the Department of Labor under the direction and control of the secretary of labor. The secretary is authorized to contract with licensed physicians for medical reports on controverted medical questions in any case on a claim for compensation for an occupational disease.
