§ 15-8-23. Birth records. [Repealed effective January 1, 2021.]
(a) Upon order of the family court, the registrar of vital records shall prepare a new birth certificate consistent with the findings of the court and shall substitute the new certificate for the original certificate of birth.
(b) The fact that the father and child relationship was declared after the child's birth shall not be ascertainable from the new certificate, but the actual place and date of birth shall be shown on it.
