§ 40-2-13. Resident physicians and dentists.

The director of the department of human services shall appoint such resident physicians, dentists, and other physicians, as may be necessary to give proper attention to the physical and mental welfare of the inmates of the institutions under the control of the department. The general assembly shall annually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary to compensate the appointees.
