§ 46-10-13 Suit by town for unclaimed property. – If the commissioner shall, for the space for sixty (60) days after the expiration of the year limited for the commissioner's accounting to the town treasurer in § 46-10-11, neglect to present his or her inventory and account before mentioned and to pay and deliver the balance due thereon, together with all the property remaining in the commissioner's hands, the town treasurer shall cause a suit to be commenced in the treasurer's name therefor for the use of the town, and shall prosecute the suit to final judgment and execution.
