§ 45-37.1-1 - Declaration of policy.

SECTION 45-37.1-1

   § 45-37.1-1  Declaration of policy. – It is declared that there is a need for the further development of industrial and recreational facilities within the state, a need to induce, encourage, and facilitate industrial development by the expansion of railroad transportation facilities and otherwise, and there is a need for the abatement or control of pollution of the environment of the state, which is necessary to protect the health and welfare of the citizens of the state, to protect the natural resources of the state, and to encourage the economic development of the state, to promote the expansion and diversification of recreational facilities, and a need to confer additional powers on the Rhode Island industrial facilities corporation that will assure the successful completion of industrial and recreational undertakings, initiated by that corporation, so as to serve the public interests of all the citizens of the state.
