§ 45-2-4 - Power to own property and make contracts.

SECTION 45-2-4

   § 45-2-4  Power to own property and make contracts. – Cities and towns may take, purchase, and hold real and personal property, and alienate and convey the property; and may also take, hold, and manage the property in trust for any charitable, other than religious, uses, and may make all contracts, including lease or lease-purchase agreements of real and personal property, necessary and convenient for the transaction of the business of the city or town.
