SECTION 36-4-27

   § 36-4-27  Unlawful procurement of waiver or withdrawal. – An appointing authority or other person who shall procure the signing of a waiver or otherwise induce an eligible to withdraw his or her name through fraud, misrepresentation, duress, or promise shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
