2005 Rhode Island Code - § 39-8-7 — Town or city regulation of speed and manner of operation.
The town and city councils of the several towns and cities shall have power,
from time to time, to make reasonable rules and regulations with reference to
the rate of speed and mode of operation of railroads in the streets and
highways of the respective towns and cities; the rules and regulations must
receive the approval in writing of the division of public utilities and
carriers.
