2005 Rhode Island Code - § 33-9-24 — Continuation of actions by or against decedent.
In case any action, suit, or proceeding is commenced or shall be pending in any court, and either party shall die before final judgment, the executor or administrator of the deceased person, or his or her successor in case the deceased was acting in a representative capacity, may, if the cause of action survives, prosecute or defend the action, suit, or proceeding to final judgment.Disclaimer: These codes may not be the most recent version.
