2005 Rhode Island Code - § 31-3-43 — Sheriffs\' department plates.

    The administrator of the division of motor vehicles shall issue to the sheriffs' departments of the various counties, for use on state owned vehicles used by the departments, a special identifying number plate in numerical sequence preceded by the words "sheriff's department", the plates to be limited to nine (9) sets, numbered one through and including nine (9).
