2005 Rhode Island Code - § 2-20-8 — Surveyors for Newport – Election – Bonds.
The council of the city of Newport shall annually, in the month of February,
elect one or more surveyors and measurers of boards, planks, timber, joist and
scantling, removable at the pleasure of the city council, who shall each give
bond, with surety, in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000), to the city
treasurer, for the faithful discharge of the duties of that office.
